Method of operation:
Dorgard is fitted with a rubber plunger which allows the door to be held open at any angle, unlike many magnetic fire door retainers which can only hold the door open fully against a wall. When a fire alarm sounds, the integral audio-electronic device inside the Dorgard causes the plunger to retract, allowing the fire door to close. Battery powered and easy to install, the Dorgard can operate alongside any existing fire alarm system currently in place, providing that your alarm’s sound level is at least 65dB at the location of the door.
