Located approximately 12 minutes walk from Rochester train station, 10 minutes walk from Chatham train station, 8 minutes walk from Chatham bust station and with ample on-site parking at weekends and several pay & display car parks close by during the week, Train2Protects Rochester training centre is convenient for students from within the Medway towns and those travelling into the area from other parts of Kent including:

Duration: Nationally recognised two-day paediatric first aid course

Who should attend?

This course meets the requirements of the Early Years foundation stage statutory framework and is designed for people working with younger children – those up to eight years old – or working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education.

What you will learn?

The course focuses on emergency scenarios that are faced by professionals, including teachers, au pairs and playgroup leaders, looking after young children.
It meets the Ofsted requirements for registered child-minders and the requirements for nannies under the DfES Approved Carers Scheme. It can also be used as evidence for employees working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education.

  • Sprains, strains and fractures

  • Childhood conditions (e.g. measles, meningitis, croup)

The syllabus is targeted for those working with babies and children, but also covers adult emergency procedures

Assessment and certification is via continuous assessment throughout the course by the trainer.


On successful completion delegates will receive a Paediatric First Aid certificate.

In-house courses can be run at your location throughout Medway, Kent or Essex, or at our training centre exclusively for you and the courses can be run over several days including weekends and evenings at dates and times to suit you.
